Rheumatology is a branch of medicine Ardent to the diagnosis and rheumatic diseases.

Rheumatologists deals with immunological or immune mediated disorders of the musculoskeletal system, soft tissues, autoimmune diseases, vasculitides, and heritable connective tissue disorders.

These diseases are also known to be disorders of the immune system. Rheumatology is considered as the study and practice of medical immunology.
